Time sets a delay time for grain playback, from immediate real time performance to a five second delay. Size sets the window of musical time each grain inhabits, from 10ms microsounds to full one-second samples. Using these three controls together, Dobbo enables anything from swarms of layered sounds which follow your playing closely to slapback memories of musical gestures. The Pitch knob introduces pitch modulation with smooth, octave, and stepped settings, perfect for blooming low end clouds or shimmering, crystalline echoes. Finally, Mix sets a blend between the input signal and Dobbo's creations, while Space adds a unique spatial character and reverb to your sounds.

At the bottom of Dobbo, the Chance knob sets an amount of random modulation for Rate, Time, Size, and Pitch. Using the button in the middle of the four LED indicators, the random modulation depth can be set for each parameter, allowing you to fine tune which aspects of Dobbo's engine develop over time.
