Fish Circuits Lunatique Gated Fuzz Pedal

Lunatique from Fish Circuits is a flexible gated fuzz pedal with a variety of potential drive sounds, ranging from wooly and warm fuzzes, to violent screaming distortions. At its heart, the Lunatique contains two distinct fuzz circuits which can be blended between using the Chaos knob. At the center position, the pedal is at its tamest sound, with each end of the knob offering two completely different types of fuzz. To the left of center, the fuzz leans into classic territory, providing a warm, intimate drive. At the clockwise end of the spectrum, this control turns your sound into absolute screaming, ripping mayhem.

The Body toggle switch allows you to roll off the bass frequencies passing into the circuit, tightening up the sound of your fuzz for more complex playing styles or busier mixes. At the other toggle position, the full frequency spectrum is flowing into the fuzz circuit, meaning the entire range of your sound is amplified and multiplied for a denser, more powerful sound. The Fuzz toggle offers another layer of potential tone shaping. The bottom position provides a tamer, more standard fuzz, ideal for more subdued rhythm sounds. At the top position, the Lunatique becomes something very different—completely dropping the prerequisite "gate" in gated fuzz—instead invoking a thrashing, snarling fuzz monster.
